Why Newborn Photography is an essential part of your journey into parenthood

Welcoming a new baby into the world is one of life’s most incredible, overwhelming, emotional journeys. You’re soaking in every tiny expression, every perfect feature, and you want to bottle it all up before time races ahead. That’s exactly where I come in.

Newborn photography isn’t just about beautiful photos – it’s about preserving a fleeting moment in time, capturing your baby just as they are in those precious early days. These aren’t just portraits for your walls – they’re family heirlooms in the making.

Here’s the thing: who you choose matters

With over 14 years of experience photographing newborns (and 7 years prior in early childhood education), I’ve created a calm, supportive, and safe space for new families. I’m a mum of two myself – I know how hard it is to leave the house with a brand-new baby. The sleep deprivation is real, your routine is upside down, and stepping out into the world can feel incredibly daunting.

That’s why I’ve designed every step of the experience to be as stress-free and nurturing as possible.

From the moment you walk into my custom-built Kenthurst studio, you can exhale. Most families tell me, “That was so much easier than I expected!” You’ll find comfy lounges, a private bathroom to freshen up, snacks, drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel more like you’re visiting a friend than attending a photo shoot. And yes – siblings are more than welcome to join too!

More importantly, you can trust that your baby is in expert hands. I’m trained, insured, fully vaccinated, and highly experienced in safe newborn handling. I wrap, settle, pose and even feed baby if needed (bottle-fed), all with their comfort and safety as my absolute top priority.

This is not the time to take risks with someone still learning or working without the proper knowledge or insurance. Your baby deserves a photographer who not only creates stunning images, but truly understands infant cues, body language, and safe positioning at every stage.

I invite you to take a look through my Google Reviews – you’ll see words like “relaxed,” “professional,” and “so much easier than I thought” repeated over and over.

This is your baby’s first story. Let’s tell it together – with love, care, and a whole lot of heart.
